One can execute a ninja move either by holding down guard and pressing the left stick in a direction, or by double tapping the jump key while holding down the left analog stick in a direction.

While Ninja Moving characters are not capable of blocking but can dash (air dash, chakra dash, air chakra dash), throw shurikens, chakra shurikens, use items, use jutsus (air jutsus during airborne frames and ground jutsus during grounded frames), and air dash.

Throwing shurikens during a ninja move extends the duration of the ninja move.

Throwing chakra shurikens during a ninja move immediately grounds the target if the ninja move is close to the ground.

Throwing chakra shurikens during a ninja move will halt the ninja move and cause the character to fall to the ground if the character is high enough above the ground (say, after a double jump).

Using an item in a ninja move will ground the character if the ninja move is close to the ground.

Using an item in a ninja move will cause the character to fall to the ground if the character is high enough above the ground.

The effect of jutsus on a character in a ninja move is dependent upon the jutsu.

The effect of a dash on a character in a ninja move is dependent upon the height of the character and the dash used.

Buffering a ninja move during a combo will perform a ninja move cancel during the recovery.
